Raising Hope box set involves a 23-year-old must raise his infant daughter, conceived by a one-night stand, with the help of his
flawed family after the baby's mother (who has killed multiple boyfriends) is given a death sentence and executed when the
baby is only six months old. Cloris Leachman has a surprising role for such a legacy actor, but that is what makes the show
brilliant! Raising Hope has just the right combination of elements of sincere family sarcasm and totally insane hilarious
situations. Everything from how she delivers her dialogue to her body language and facial expressions are spot-on. It is
very very funny.
